The location is perfect for skiing multiple days at Mount Hood Meadows. The Homestead Cabin was a bit rustic but charming and plenty comfortable for two. The Crooked Tree Tavern restaurant was surprisingly excellent!

This is a nice motel located within a block or two of several nice restaurants. The management was responsive to our needs and took great care of the property. The gardening in public spaces was well done.
Mt. Hood covers a huge area with lots of outdoor activities.
Mt. Hood covers a huge area with lots of outdoor activities. Skiing year round, biking , hiking, lots of lakes in the area. Barely scratched the surface. Timberline Lodge is a must see - be prepared for crowds. Mt. Hood Meadows ski area is much more accessible, take the summer ski lift up and hike down through lush meadows and forests packed with wildflowers. A totally different scene lies in the beautiful Hood River Valley to the northeast of the mountain, a valley filled with orchards and other agricultural delights.
